Excellent book for academics.

This is an excellent book for deep thinkers, and especially those familiar with philosophy, Nietzsche, Freud, Darwin, etc. Ravi shows in a clear and concise way how a lot of philosophical thought, esp Nietzsche's, has turned men away from God. Nietzsche greatly influenced Adolf Hitler. Therefore, we have just come out of the twentieth century, the bloodiest in mankind's history. Ravi discusses other thinkers like Freud and Darwin, and looks at where they were right and wrong. Mr Zacharias has a PhD from Cambridge, so is no fool. He discusses his own leap of faith from Hinduism to Christianity. A great read, Christian apologetics at its finest. 5 stars.

Can Man Live Without God? It's like asking, "Can man deal with lonliness, sorrow, and a live controlled by sin?" Yes and no.

"Can man live without God? Of course he can, in a physical sense. Can he live without God in a reasonable way? That answer is No! because such a person is compelled to deny a moral law, to abandon hope, to forfeit meaning, and to risk no recovery if he is wrong. Life just offers too much evidence to the contrary."
This book carries with it some lofty vocabulary, and, for me; well . . . let's just say I needed to look up a few words. Nonetheless, the words contained hereto are without mistake, and a spell checker for reason. Ravi is one of my favorite authors because he can both entertain your God-given brain and stimulate thoughts you never had thought you even had. This book puts the atheist (or, as Ravi calls them: the antitheist) in the light that which reveals their barren-some, and lonely existence apart from God. I would definitely read this again, that is, if I had missed even just a few pages.

"Dr D Jeya Mala is currently Associate Professor in Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, with a rich teaching and research experience of more than 12 years. She has been teaching courses like Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Software Engineering and Software Testing. She has successfully guided numerous Software Development-based projects for The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) contest, an Academic Initiative of IBM. As a researcher, she has investigated the practical aspects of Software Engineering and Object Oriented Paradigms for effective software development. Her work on Software Testing has fetched several grants from the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Major Research Project scheme. In addition, Dr Jeya Mala is a member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and an invited member of the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE). She holds a vital role in forming the reviewers’ board in journals like IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Elsevier–Information Sciences, and International Journal of Metaheuristics, among others. She has also been listed in Marquis Who’s Who List in 2011. Dr S Geetha is currently Associate Professor in Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. Having a rich teaching and research experience of more than 12 years, she has been successfully teaching courses like OOAD, Algorithms and Information Security.
