A great book regarding the life of Clifford Olson

Clifford Olsen was a child molester also know as a "Skinner" as well as an informant also known as a "Rat". Based on this he was provided with protection as he was a target for other inmates.While in prison he was stabbed with scissors and a gang of inmates beat and kicked him with the intent of killing him. He did not have a normal childhood, he molested his sister and did not have a relationship with his other sibling s or his father. Yet he was very close to his mother. He claimed to have been molested and raped by his Uncle but his wife believed it was actually been abused by his father. This may be the reason Olsen became a pedophile. He would threaten girls with a knife to let him molest them. He once imprisoned his girlfriend and abused her. He was also theif, swindler and con artist. His mother would hide his behavior from his father to avoid the abuse he would endure had he found out. He appeared to be protected none of his victims were. A great book regarding the life of Clifford Olson, with many details that will shock you . A great read!!!

I truly enjoyed reading it

I read a lot of books, and I must say that this is one of the most exciting books I've read in quite some time. The story / plot is very detailed, and very graphic. As it is when a book of this type is written, it often seems that the writer (when giving details) they will sometimes make the story seem weak, because as it is here -- the victim just jumps into a strangers car without a second thought, thus the story seems less plausible. No one just jumps in to a car without any hesitation whatsoever. The story leading up to The Story, could use more detailed information to make and keep the book exciting to read. I WILL SAY ABOUT THIS BOOK : I truly enjoyed reading it, and quite honestly, I read it in two (2) days. GRERAT BOOK. Say I Must

This book is well organized and comprehensive as an introduction to this field. It will suit the purposes of someone who seeks a well-grounded foundation in linguistics, even if s/he doesn't want to do further study. It also serves the purpose of the degree-seeking student who may have no background in the field. I read it carefully, took notes, and feel better prepared to succeed in the upcoming coursework which will address this material in greater depth.
The writing is accessible while still assuming a college-level knowledge of the concepts.

A Book for All Reasons

I 've raised and trained German Shepherds for the past 25 years, and am really impressed with the book TOP WORKING DOGS: A TRAINING MANUAL. I highly recommend it to anyone who plans on training a puppy or dog in tracking, obedience or protection work. Whether you're a person who just plans to train a pup basic manners and obedience for around the house, or if you're a top trainer, - I suggest you read this book! It covers all the phases of training and explains how to start puppies at a young age (which I thoroughly agree with) . The book is very easy to understand for a young or inexperienced trainer, yet it provides a lot of very good information for the experienced trainer or someone who wants to make a top working dog. Not only are problems that you may run into confronted, but several good solutions are given for each problem. All three areas of training- tracking, protection and obedience, - are thoroughly covered and are well illustrated. There are a lot of methods talked about in this book which I have never read before and that are very good. You can use this book to start training your puppy and it will take you through advanced training. It is refreshing to read a top training manual that is not heavy or boring - there are even some cute jokes in it! I like the author's psychological principles , too, - and if you follow his instructions you'll not only have a top tracking, obedience and protection dog, but will have a very meaningful relationship with your dog. On top of that, the whole training process will be enjoyable for you and your dog. I've learned some good training methods myself from this book and I always recommend it to anyone who buys my puppies, if they're interested in training.

Just what I was looking for

Some of the other reviews of this book somewhat intimidated me. I think any bad reviews are entirely incorrect or the reviewer had rather frivolous expectations. This is a serious book that, once read, helped me to get my older male Rottweiler heeling correctly in less than a week. Great structure to the book. Step-by-step to the point of redundancy if you read more than one chapter at a sitting, but when using this as a reference, that detail helps you to remember every last point. I would have given this book 10 stars if I could.

Abundant information, small package

I recently obtained a German Shepherd Dog from a rescue and she breezed through obedience training. I became interested in Schutzhund as something to keep her engaged and occupied.
I found this book to be extremely informative, even for someone with no experience in Schutzhund. Like some of the other reviewers stated, there are few pictures and no photographs. There is no fluff. Everything presented is useful.
The author provides valid insight into dog psychology as it relates to training. There is no "dog whisperer" nonsense here, just straight forward training.
The book is very comprehensive and I frequently refer to it not only ahead of training sessions, but during them.

Entertaining, well presented, and very useful

I recently downloaded a couple of other cocktail recipe books from the Kindle store because they were being offered for free. Unfortunately, both of them suffered from bad formatting, and neither had even a static table of contents, let alone one you could click through. This book, by contrast, is a pleasure to deal with because it's so well organized. It's divided into ten chapters, each of which is devoted to one decade of the 20th century. Each chapter includes an entertaining, anecdotal run-down of the decade's major events before going into that era's popular drink recipes. The book is also nicely formatted, and has a proper, clickable table of contents AND and clickable index, so you'll have no trouble locating that Harvey Wallbanger recipe even if you can't remember which decade it was associated with (the 1970's, in case you were wondering). It isn't the most comprehensive drink recipe book ever published, but it has all the recipes that most people will ever need and then some. I'm happy to recommend it.

Great guide to classic cocktails

I really enjoyed perusing this book. Each page was filled with either a classic cocktail recipe or slice of history surrounding it's origins. Now, I look forward to trying some of the drinks at home (it's so difficult to get some of these drinks "correctly" made at many establishments).

This is a good reference work for some typical cocktails and their background from each decade; although the book only contains a few cocktails per decade, it does contain some pretty atypical and unusual ones that are sure to provide flair for your party.
