Good book, good truth

Compared to those tongues of the Chinese media and newspaper, this book provides complete different view of Wen. However, some of the facts and events mentioned in this book are not available in China because the government seems to have deleted the records so far. It is hard to say that all the concepts in this book are 100% correct, but the book itself is well worth reading.

Great with steam

I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

So, I really enjoyed this story. The premise is about how these 2 couples make it work in becoming one unit - they all love each other and they are working on their relationship that allows them to have relationships with all parties, not just their respective sub or Dom.

The chemistry between everyone is off the charts. The most steamy scenes, I thought, were between the two Dom characters.

I really liked how the premise was about the family dynamic. However, I felt that Peter was somewhat whiny in this story. And, while I can appreciate him wanting some attention from his original Dom, I felt that this story was more about Max and his insecurities.

It was kind of a toss up with my liking the fact that Swan and Devon took the time to help Max through his issues - but on the other hand, I thought that Michael was trying to split the time. In reality, I think it would be awesome for each of the subs to have more of a voice in this story. To know what they were thinking behind the story.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and would love to read more.

Dom and Sub couples Peter and Devon, Max and Swan decide to join their lives together.

First off loved the pretense of this story and honestly did love a lot of this story and really liked these characters. So this is where I am going to say the only really problem I had with this story is I really felt like Peter was being left out a lot because everyone else was so busy with Max and what was going on with him or at least that was the feeling I had after I finished this book. With Peter being a Sub like Max I just felt like he should have been getting a little more of the attention too.

Other than that I thought this book was extremely steamy and very hot between these four men. Especially the scenes between Devon and Swan the two Dom's. So I loved the authors pretense of this story and the way he wrote these characters together. I really did feel like these four men fit well together besides feeling like Peter might have been a little left out.

So all together I really liked this story and would recommend this book!

Love this series!

Once again, Sean Michael has delivered a great follow up to his Hammer series. What started with a visit to play at Adam and Matt's Bed & Breakfast in Briar Rose: Blended Family, has come full circle to the 2 Master/Sub pairs becoming one family. It's time for them to take a chance, so Devon and Peter move into Swan and Maxie's house. Along the way, you see how they learn how to work together to give each other what they need. I especially loved the late night time between Devon and Max and the scene where Devon and Swan find their own intimacy without their boys.
As always, I was obsessed until the words The End.....

‘Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji’ - in Japanese Fuji Sanjū-Rokkei - is the title of two separate and distinct series of woodblock prints by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), also often known as Andō Hiroshige, depicting Mount Fuji in differing seasons and times from a variety of different places and perspectives more than 150 years ago.

The 1852 series was made in landscape orientation and was obviously influenced by the earlier similarly titled series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji by the master artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) which was published between 1826 and 1833. By contrast, the 1858 series are set in portrait orientation.

In this volume Cognoscenti Books offer the full 1858 series of 36 prints, together with 6 supplementary prints and an essay on the Life and Times of Utagawa Hiroshige. The ukiyo-e woodblock prints are all high quality and in full colour. 43 historical images.

A unique account in the genre of World War II memoires

This is a view of World War II through a straw; it is a view of war with both eyes wide open. Dr. Phibbs has the benefit of looking back on his war experiences forty years removed, using contemporaneous notes as aides memoires to stitch together a compelling first person narrative. Sometimes the method makes certain events stand out as individual vignettes, yet the effect is almost as if you are sitting across from a man who is dredging up memories unbidden for the first time in many years, but recalling them as clearly as if they had happened yesterday. Written so many years later, his account is leavened with another forty years of life's experiences, as well as another forty years of learning and reading, which give a sometimes erudite contrast to his first-hand account of a brutal war. As a front line surgeon, he shares the perspective of the men on the front, including their disdain for the rear echelons, while his medical training makes him an especially harsh critic of poor leadership that recklessly endangers other mens' lives. This is a must read for anyone who wants to know what made these men the Greatest Generation.

No Quiet on this Front!

I am a retired army Physician Assistant and love to read and be reminded of the history of medical officers, their turmoil,, challanges, treatment techniques and their worlds. Their expierences lead to improvements in military medicine that I saw in Desert Strom and OIF. The writer is a well read writer with great insite to not only the officer side but the enlisted drudgery. His views of the WPPA is still valid today with our military. He would be amazed of the advanced techniques wa have at the aid station level today. I was a PA in an armoured unit x 4 years and the world has improved. I love his take on Patton and Truscott, Clarke and others , Generals,of whom history has mixed views. A great book. I am retired now but would make my Docs read thismto,their enlightenment and enjoyment.

Excellent Memior

The Other Side of Time is a great WWII memior written by Dr. Brendan Phibbs who was a medic in Germany. He does not pull any punches when writing about the imcompetent leaders he came across and the anti semitism he witnessed in the Army. His opening to the book is as good as any reading you will find. He writes about the burial of one in his outfit that had been killed in action. A truly moving piece. If you want to read a memior that is all patriotic and about romanticized tales of experiences during a war then this book isn't for you. He has written an honest account of his experiences as he witnessed them. No one that collects WWII memiors should be without this one.

From such platitudes, this breezy, often superficial pabulum is distilled. Berkowitz, who hosts a talk show on Financial News Network (and was formerly the Today show's correspondent on men), teamed here with freelance journalist Gittines, offers advice to women on getting men to open up, dating divorced men, extramarital affairs, gauging a man's true intentions regarding commitment, dealing with his fears of impotence, and so forth. What makes men tick? Why won't they open up? Weren't they all supposed to have gotten in touch with their feelings in the 1970s? What went wrong? According to Berkowitz, the Today Show 's correspondent on men, nothing went wrong. Men, by nature, respond differently from women, and a lot of misunderstanding could be avoided if women comprehended how men express themselves. Many recent books have explored this territory; Berkowitz maintains that men are not psychological cripples, nor women masochistic fools. Neither sex is "right" or "wrong." We're just different, and it's silly to take adversarial positions. So here is the "Boylitz" course: What he really means. No neuroses; just good sense, affection, and the occasional flash of recognition. Maybe we've finally outgrown confrontational psychobabble. Let's hope so.

few earth-shattering insights but fun to read nonetheless

With such a provocative title, you'd think this book might open the door into the secret world of Men, so all Women might from there on in understand. It's not the case. While it does offer some good reminders (men are visual, men and women are DIFFERENT, don't hint with men, etc.), some of the book feels dated and Berkowitz's tone is that of a smarmy glossy magazine writer (which he happens to be, as well as a correspondent for various daytime TV programs like Today).

The book can be read in one sitting, and since it's very light, you won't feel weighed down if you consume it all at once. Recommended, but more for fun and as a time-passer than as a real cornerstone of understanding the differences between the sexes or developing a really deep understanding of men.

Very misleading title

This book drags on and on and on with stories that attempt to be humourous, but just come up long-winded and pointless...On Berkowicz's chapter on Why Men are Jerks...he explains that women want men to be jerks...On his chapter regarding sex, he explains in detail how men love and will do anything to get it. Now, true many women are attracted to jerks, and men infact enjoy and love sex, but what's the big secret you're letting us in on here? I found the book to be rather boring, and hard to read.

I don't think so

If you think every man thinks the same way, does the same thing, has the same desires, and is just lumped into one cateogry, then this book will show you that. Peresonally, I like women that are real, without all of the games that we men see through anyway.

Yeah, men are visual. So are women! Men like intimacy just as much as women do. The title says more than the book does.
